"Doc" Rob writes the songs and sings, plays acoustic rhythm guitar and harmonica. Keith Austin provided musical direction, keyboard and bass playing are Keith's domains. Dave Dewsnap plays lead guitar. Jordan Tredray plays the drums. Guitar magicians Lennie T and Stefan Kingsford Brown, singer songwriter Clare Christian and vocalist Jacqui Knox aso contribute their skills.
The result is a collection of blues/ folk rock originals, each with a story to tell, a melody you can hum, and an album you can buy at local music stores. Or from us!



A recording session with master producers Lorenzo and Benni will take place on ANZAC weekend, with the focus on the latest compositions created by Rob and Keith. Drummer Jordan Treday and guitarist Stefan Brown will fill out their rhythm section and guitar backline. .

Grafia Folk Rock Band, 2009--

Grafia, an acronym for "get right away from it all", is a band of musicians/songwriters who enjoy collaborating in performances, composing and recording. Based in the Wairarapa they manage and contribute to shows wherever they are invited. Their creative influences stretch across several genres and songwriters who have inspired them include: John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, J.J Cale, Van Morrison, Robert Hunter and Grateful Dead, Leonard Cohen, Christy Moore and Jimmy McCarthy to name a few. Grafia is based in Masterton and plays mainly in the lower North Island.
The band makes regular appearances at 'Tin Hut Live' held in The Tin Hut Country Hotel.
